Massena LAB is what happens when a watch collector builds the kind of watches he wishes other brands would make — and does it really well.
This is vintage-inspired independent watchmaking with depth. Smart collabs, thoughtful design, limited runs, and a deep love for horological history baked
into every piece. No fluff. No fake scarcity. Just taste.
Massena LAB was founded in 2018 by William Massena — former Managing Director of TimeZone and a longtime heavyweight in the collector community.
Instead of launching a brand with a full catalog, Massena went the “horological lab” route — collaborating with top-tier independents (like Habring²,
Unimatic, and Le Locle ateliers) to create limited-run watches that merge historical inspiration with modern execution.
It’s not just branding. Massena LAB is the real deal — driven by a collector’s eye, a historian’s knowledge, and a maker’s instinct.
Massena LAB watches speak to insiders — the kind of collectors who’ve been through Rolex, tried the microbrands, and want something personal,
smart, and uncommon.
Standout drops include:
They’re not cranking out SKUs. Every release is intentional, limited, and well-thought-out.
Because it’s one of the few modern independents that gets it — not just the mechanics, but the culture of collecting.
Each piece feels like it came from a place of real passion. The finishing is high. The movements are legit. The dials and proportions feel like someone
actually obsessed over them.
And the brand isn’t trying to ride hype waves. They’re making watches for people who know what they’re looking at — and want something special.
Massena LAB doesn’t keep permanent collections. Once a model sells out (usually within days or even hours), that’s it. No reissues. No unlimited production.
That means the pre-owned market is the only way in for most people — and the best pieces (Erwin, Old School, Uni-Racer) are already climbing.
Newer drops include:
Expect ~100–200 pieces per release, max.
Massena LAB? I’m a fan.
It’s a brand that doesn’t talk down to collectors. They assume you know a deadbeat seconds when you see one. They expect you to appreciate a
stepped dial, or a domed crystal, or the fact that this sector layout isn’t just “retro”… it’s correct.
I’ve had a few come through Delray, and every one felt like it was built for someone who really loves this stuff. That’s rare.
Delray Watch is always on the lookout for unique Massena LAB watches — especially Uni-Racer, LAB01, and Old School models.
