L. Kendall is named after Larcum Kendall, an 18th-century English watchmaker who built one of the most important marine chronometers in history — the K1, a

portable timekeeper used by explorers like Captain Cook to help solve the longitude problem.

The modern L. Kendall brand was launched in the 2010s by the British firm SeaChron Ltd., with the goal of honoring Kendall’s legacy through bold,

nautically-inspired mechanical watches. Designed in the UK, manufactured in Switzerland, and built to evoke the precision and utility of marine timekeeping history.

These watches are chunky, nautical, and genuinely fun. Not for minimalists. Not for hype-chasers. But for collectors who love a good backstory and

aren’t afraid to wear something that starts conversations.
