Tockr Watches

Tockr Watches

Tockr is American aviation spirit meets Swiss mechanical build — a young, energetic brand turning out bold designs, military collabs, and some of the most interesting dial

materials in the microbrand space.

If you like your watches with a little story, a lot of presence, and zero pretension, Tockr might be your next sleeper pick.

A Little History

Founded in Austin, Texas around 2017, Tockr was born out of a love for aviation and performance engineering. The brand’s founder, Austin Ivey, comes from a family

of military pilots — and that airpower DNA is baked into the designs.

While the brand is American at heart, all Tockr watches are Swiss made, using Sellita movements and assembled to a high spec in Switzerland. Tockr quickly earned

a following thanks to its Hydro Dipped case finishes, experimental dials, and genuine aircraft component builds.

What Collectors Love

Tockr watches are distinctive, limited-run, and surprisingly well-built for their price point. They stand out for:

  • Aviation-inspired cases — bold cushion shapes, instrument-style layouts, and clean pilot cues

  • Dial experimentation — including bronze, meteorite, carbon fiber, and even salvaged aircraft aluminum

  • Hydro Dipped cases — camo, marble, fire, and abstract textures you won’t find anywhere else

  • Military collabs — including the D-Day C-47 series, made with materials from actual WWII aircraft

Popular models include:

  • Skytrain — vintage-style pilot watch with real Douglas C-47 aircraft aluminum dials

  • Hydro Dipped Chronograph — bright, wild, and expressive, with full steel construction underneath

  • Tockr Air Defender — automatic chronograph with 7750-style layout, often with limited edition dials

  • Skeleton Series — openworked dials in stealthy cases, paired with sport straps

Why Tockr Deserves a Spot

Because they’re doing something genuinely different in the microbrand world — not just tweaking the same dive watch case and calling it heritage.

Tockr leans into design and story-first builds, often incorporating materials that actually matter — WWII aircraft skins, art-deco inspiration, or experimental finishes

you just don’t see on watches under $2K.

Plus, for collectors who want something bold but wearable, they’ve got good specs, great finishing, and limited production — without trying to be hype.

What’s Out There Now

Tockr releases in small batches, with many series capped under 100 pieces. Look for:

  • Skytrain / D-Day C-47 — 42mm cushion case, Sellita SW200, real aircraft metal dials

  • Air Defender Chronograph — 45mm, Valjoux-style chrono layout, military tool vibe

  • Hydro Dipped Series — wild camo/marble finishes over steel, usually on rubber straps

  • Limited Editions / Collaborations — including tactical or themed drops with military orgs and charities

Pricing ranges from $1,000 to $2,500, depending on movement and materials. Pre-owned options show up occasionally — often still in great condition due to short production runs.

Fed’s Take

Tockr is one of the more interesting U.S.-founded micros out there.

I’ve handled a few of the Skytrain models — and the dials made from WWII aircraft aluminum are legit. It’s cool history, built into something you can wear every day.

The Hydro Dipped cases? Not for everyone, but very fun on the wrist. And the Air Defender chrono is a sleeper value.

If you want a pilot watch with real personality — or a funky weekend piece with story and specs — Tockr’s worth a look.
